Welcome Matt Toutain - Sr Director, Retail

BOLD is excited to welcome our newest Senior Retail Director, Matt Toutain, to the team!

Matt has over 15 years combined professional work experience with 11+ of those years focused on helping manufacturers navigate and ramp up eCommerce sales and operational capabilities for new sales channel growth. He previously worked for Wayfair as a Senior Category Manager and worked with Amazon, Overstock.com, Walmart.com, Staples.com, just to name a few. Matt takes his expansive knowledge, experience, and leadership skills to Bold as our newest Senior Retail Director.

We wanted to get to know more about Matt in his own words. Here's what he had to say ...

What’s Your hometown?

Winthrop, MA – 6 miles outside of Boston

Why did you decide to join Bold Strategies?

I was first drawn to BOLD because of the way the company was structured and how they took a unique approach to the agency model. This structure appeared to promote collaboration, teamwork and a level of expertise that provided tons of value to the client. In addition to this, everyone I met with was genuine, knowledgeable and had a deep passion for eCommerce and the company’s clients. After speaking with everyone, I joined because I felt as though my experience in eCommerce would provide value to the team and that it was a place where I could continue to learn and grow in my career.

What’s the first thing you ever bought on Amazon.com and what does that say about you?

A pair of TYR swim training paddles. I like to be active and participate in a wide range of sports and physical activities.

What’s your favorite book?

This is a tough one but I’m going to have to say, The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

What’s your favorite place?

Vail, CO

I’m happiest when….

I’m in the mountains skiing with friends/family on a sunny blue-sky day.

People would be surprised to know that….

I’ve done 2 Ironman triathlons.
