New Amazon Program Pays Brands for Inbound Traffic
July 20, 2021
Amazon has just launched a new program exclusively for registered brand owners selling in the marketplace. It's called the "Brand Referral Bonus" program, and it pays brands an average of 10% of sales if those sales are generated on the brand's "tagged" traffic from Search, Social, eMail, and other off-platform media.
Why is this important?
Off-platform traffic sources have always been an important way for brands to drive sales momentum on Amazon and boost their organic search ranking. This new program significantly improves off-platform ROI.
How is the bonus paid?
Bonus payments are a credit against the seller's referral fees and are paid two months after the sale (to account for returns). Bonus applies to any shopper purchases of the brand, including promoted products, made up to 14 days after the initial click.
Requirements:
- The participant is a marketplace (3rd party) seller
- Seller is a brand owner, is registered, and in a participating category
- Seller is enrolled in Amazon Attribution
- Seller is enrolled in the Brand Referral Bonus program
- Seller uses Amazon Attribution tags in their campaigns
